BG6 Enrolment – Thursday 20 August

Due to social distancing and restrictions linked to COVID-19 we will not be holding any face-to-face enrolment appointments on the 20th August, so will rely on telephone contact. The BG6 College team and BGHS Leadership team will be calling all applicants by telephone on Thursday 20 August anytime from 9.00am – 3.00pm to enrol you onto your chosen A Level programme. This will give you the opportunity to discuss and change your options accordingly and you will be given the right support and guidance throughout your enrolment call. All external applicants must email a copy of your results to and only then can we enrol you on to your chosen courses. Further details about your start date will be shared with you following your enrolment. Please ask if you are not sure about anything, we are here to support you. Leeds University Visit for Year 12 Art students

On Tuesday 1 March, twelve Year 12 students set off to the University of Leeds to discover what life at a university is really like and what to expect from Further Education. They had the opportunity to speak to current students, meet the Head of the course and the Head of the university, explore the studio spaces, tour the campus and sample food from the vast canteen. In the afternoon the students began making some of their own artwork and the Head of the course, along with the university students, offered a group critique. Themes of Art’s place in society and who an artist really is, amongst other philosophical issues, were discussed. The students had a brilliant time and really felt enlightened by the visit. Some were already planning their application by the time they left.
