Year 7

As soon as our learners join Batley Girls’ in Year 7, we encourage them to start thinking about their future careers and the steps needed to follow the correct route.  Whilst some learners already have a definite career dream, others need time to explore the options that are ahead of them.  At Batley Girls’ we start the careers provision with:

• An introduction to careers and information resources always available in the Careers Hub
• STEAM Careers Events
• Careers assemblies

Year 8

In Year 8 we continue our work with Learners about their future careers.

Year 9 

In Year 9 we help learners to start making decisions about their future with:

• Individual interviews by request to assist with GCSE choices
• Discussion about the impact of GSCE options on future career and higher education choices
• Annual whole school Careers and Higher Education Fair
• Our digital platform 'Unifrog' will allow our learners to make informed pathway choices for the subjects they wish to study at Key Stage 4.
