To help improve communication with families and also to reduce our carbon footprint, you should already be aware that we are going paperless. All of our communication will now take place via SMS, email, the school website and our two school apps.

Parents and carers can now access our apps to find information on attendance, behaviour, attainment and other announcements.

My Child At School (MCAS)

MyChildAtSchool [MCAS] is a portal enabling parents to view their child's

academic performance in real-time via a web browser. This facility allows

exclusive access to the child's Attendance and Assessment whenever the

parent/carer wishes. As as student performance data, the portal also provides

general useful information about school such as the Academic Calendar and

Announcements.

In summary, MyChildAtSchool provides:

• Access to real-time Attendance and Assessment Data
• Communication facilities to improve contact between parents and schools
• Instant access to Published Reports and Letters

Parents/carers should have received an email from the school with a link to the Parent Login screen and to create a password. If this hasn’t been received, from the My Child At School login page please click on the Reset Password or Forgot Password link.

ClassCharts

ClassCharts is used to communicate information about rewards, homework, praise, behaviour and detentions. ClassCharts can be accessed via the web portal and/or the smart phone app and is vital in sharing information with students and their parents, as there are both student and parent apps available. We expect all students and parents to use ClassCharts and offer support to families who struggle to access it.

Parents and students can access ClassCharts by downloading the app and using the activation codes that have been shared with them via email.
