Batley Girls’ High School has a strong history of providing a range of opportunities to inspire, develop and nurture the interests of our young people. Respect is at the heart of our community: respect for self, for others, and for the learning environment. This philosophy runs through every lesson and enriching opportunity we provide. Our dedicated staff work tirelessly to remove barriers to success. They encourage our learners to achieve their goals by developing critical wider skills,  fostering a ‘can do’ culture, to empower our learners to be innovative, curious and resilient members of the school and wider community. A critical element of this is the close links the school has with parents/carers through our Stronger Together Forum and we welcome all parents/carers of our school community to attend these meetings. We aim to nurture future leaders who leave a lasting legacy for others to follow. 

Our website is designed to give you an insight into all elements of life at Batley Girls’ High School. You will see that lessons and learning in the classroom are very important, but being a learner at Batley Girls’ High School is about much more than this.
