It is a real honour to take up the post of Headteacher at Batley Girls’ High School, continuing my association with Batley Multi Academy Trust and the values shared by all our schools to ensure that ‘every young person, regardless of their starting point, or background, receives a high quality education, coupled with first class care, guidance and support.’
Batley Girls’ High School has a strong history of providing a range of opportunities to inspire, develop and nurture the interests of our young people, through the provision of a wide range of extra curricular activities and experiences. We aim to foster a ‘can do’ culture, empowering our young people to be innovative, curious and resilient members of the community. A critical element of this is the close links the school has with parents/carers through our Stronger Together Forum and we welcome all parents/carers of our school community to attend these meetings.
As the Headteacher I have the privilege of seeing young people working positively in the classroom with staff displaying and developing these wider skills that will enable them to be successful academically and throughout their adult lives.
Our website is designed to give you an insight into all elements of life at Batley Girls’ High School. You will see that lessons and learning in the classroom are very important, but being a Batley Girls’ High School student is about much more than this. I hope the pictures, articles, letters and reports give you an insight into how we encourage our young people to thrive by celebrating their achievements and help them transform into the resilient future leaders of our community.
We welcome visitors to our school and should you wish to arrange an appointment please contact our reception.
