Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

Our Trust family of schools are deeply saddened by the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II who devoted her life to public service. The Queen was only 25 years old when she became the Monarch, and her coronation was the first ever to be televised. For over 70 years she has reigned as our Queen and has demonstrated such grace, dignity and respect and defied all expectations of women of her generation.

The Queen saw 15 Prime Ministers, and many different Heads of State. She also demonstrated her sense of humour during television appearances with James Bond for the 2012 London Olympics, and Paddington Bear for her Platinum Jubilee. As tributes have poured in from all around the world people have commented on the Queen’s ability to put people at ease, her kindness, and her ability to make them feel welcome.

As The Queen herself once said; “Grief is the price we pay for love”. Our condolences are with the Royal Family, and people in the Royal Households at this difficult time as we join the nation in mourning.
