What does Respect mean to me?

Respect means to understand and have empathy to all people. This can be elders, high authority people or people who you value or look upto.

Treating others as you would like to be treated and talking to them in a calm manner.

In my opinion it is a way of treating or thinking about something or someone. The teachers respect the opinions of the students and the connection between a student and teacher is very powerful. The teacher's in BGHS respect us and our ideas .

Respect to me is valuing others opinions/beliefs/culture/looks.

For me respect is being able to appreciate the rights and differences of people.

Respect means listening and taking into consideration someone's opinion or listening to them when they want to talk.

Respect to me means to approve of someone's qualities and abilities.

BGHS supports us by treating everyone equally and not dividing everyone.

Respect to me is accepting someone and making sure you don't change them or into who you might want them to be like. It is also about listening to opinions and helping each other. Sometimes you might not agree but it is vital that you respect someone and still listen to them.

Respect means that you accept somebody for who they are, even when they're different from you or you don't agree with them. Respect in your relationships builds feelings of trust, safety, and wellbeing.

In BGHS you are encouraged to respect each other and your learning in order to succeed.

For me respect means feeling valued and being treated fairly.

I think respect is where you give someone the chance to say something and show value to them. You make sure they get the attention they deserve and allow them to share their thoughts, ideas and opinions.

Respect, to me, is something that one can only get if they have earned and deserve it.

Respect to me is showing consideration for everyone and honouring their beliefs and perspective.

BGHS emphasises the beauty of difference in people and teaches the importance of respecting everybody. BGHS understands that the youths of today are the people of tomorrow's world and they make sure that certain values like respect are instilled in us so that we can grow into people who in return will be respected.
