Virtual Open Evening Experience
Batley Girls’ High School Open Evening will showcase our inspirational school, classrooms, excellent facilities and key staff. The film and presentations will be available from Monday October 5th on the school website and official twitter account.

Dear Families,
The students and staff have made a superb start to the term. The staggered Transition Week was a very positive experience for all our school community and it enabled our students to re-engage with their learning and the new school routines, in smaller numbers.
We have made the decision to temporarily close five out of our twenty-two bubbles in school for a range of reasons. The majority of bubbles we have closed have been precautionary, in order to reduce the possibility of people who are at risk attending school and coming into contact with others. The families of students who are directly affected have all been informed. We will continue to communicate directly with families when we need to, and blended learning will continue, using a range of resources and remote platforms for those who are temporarily self-isolating. Students in all other bubbles can continue to attend school.
As you will understand, this is a challenging time for all schools around the country. With this in mind, we would like to remind our families that if your daughter, or others in the household, are displaying symptoms, the advice would be to follow the Government guidance.
We can reassure you that we have acted swiftly and appropriately in temporarily closing bubbles and have followed all of the correct procedures, in line with national guidance and Local Authority advice.
We are sure that you agree that the safety and wellbeing of students, staff, families and the whole school community are of paramount importance.
